Pat Del Monaco
Candidate for First Selectman, New Fairfield
Pat is currently a New Fairfield Selectman.
Pat has been an active member of the New Fairfield community for many of the 35 years that she has been a resident of New Fairfield, and she served as New Fairfield First Selectman from November 2017 – November 2023. She currently serves as Selectman. Pat has two children who attended New Fairfield schools from kindergarten through graduation. She holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from Clarkson University. Prior to her involvement in the community, Pat served as Director of Environmental and Regulatory Affairs at Unilever US. After leaving Unilever, Pat provided environmental consulting services to both large and small corporate clients. She served as Chairman of the Inland Wetlands and Conservation Commission for 16 years and supported New Fairfield schools for many years, serving as Co-President of the Consolidated and Middle School PTOs and as Co-President of the Rebel Music Boosters.
Pat strives to find fiscally responsible responses to the needs of the community. During her tenure as First Selectman, she secured $5.5 million in State and Federal grants to fund important infrastructure projects including, $2.1 million for improvements to emergency communications system, $475,000, development of a Town Green behind Town Hall, $250,000, new Dispatch Console, $128,000, Town building ventilation systems, and $42,000, Police Body Cameras. She also worked with our State legislators to secure $2.2 million for the Margerie Reservoir Trail and proposed allocation of $4 million of ARPA funds to strengthen our local economy and improve infrastructure. Voters approved use of ARPA funds to design and permit a sewer system in the business/commercial zone, provide grants to small businesses hurt during COVID, rebuild the beach house, renovate CoA firehouse, and improve public safety and security infrastructure.
Pat led the Town through the macroburst of 2018, the COVID-19 pandemic, and Tropical Storm Isaias, providing frequent updates and critical information to residents. She oversaw the construction of two new schools, completed on schedule and within budget. Pat has supported Public Safety, adding School Resource Officers to all New Fairfield Schools, and securing $2.1 million in Federal funding to upgrade our emergency communication system. Pat also worked with the Board of Selectmen to leverage federal ARPA funding to invest in critical town infrastructure projects and local small businesses.
Pat established and worked with the Economic Development Commission to revitalize New Fairfield’s Town Center. Her focus was to support existing small businesses and attract new businesses to our Town by improving infrastructure, increasing foot traffic in the center of Town, and providing a Town Green that provides recreational, entertainment and gathering spaces.

Khris Hall
Candidate for Selectman, New Fairfield

Khris Hall served as Selectman on New Fairfield’s Board of Selectmen from 2017-2023. Currently, Khris serves on the Connecticut Siting Council, which reviews and approves applications for cell towers, solar facilities, and transmission lines. She also serves as Vice President of FISH of New Fairfield, a volunteer organization providing free rides and as Vice President of the New Fairfield Community Service Club. As Selectman, she was actively involved with a number of community activities, including working with the Margerie Reservoir Joint Committee to establish a walking trail along Margerie Reservoir, supporting the activities of the Candlewood Lake Authority and Friends of Ball Pond, managing the New Fairfield/Sherman Vaccination Clinic, providing emergency services after Tropical Storm Isaias, and co-running the shelter in the aftermath of the May 15, 2018 storm.
Previously, Khris was a reporter covering New Fairfield boards and commissions and politics for the New Fairfield/Sherman Town Tribune and Citizens News and for her own online blog. New Fairfield has been Khris’s home for 29 years. She has five children in a blended family, including two who graduated from New Fairfield High School, and five grandchildren. Khris has a B.A. in Slavic Languages and Literature and a J.D. – both from the University of Kansas. Prior to her involvement in the community, Khris worked for IBM for 31 years in a number of areas, including Environmental Programs, Governmental Programs, and as a Project Executive running multi-million-dollar projects.

Planning
We will work with Town Boards and Commissions to plan for the future and execute those plans to provide critical services, infrastructure, and the amenities that make New Fairfield a safe special place to live. We will move forward with plans for the bus parking lot, the Margerie Reservoir Trail, a Town Green, and support for New Fairfield’s business district.
